IN PRAISE OF CORNELIA…

This week our Poem we dedicate
To a woman who we think just great
Cornelia Bailey is her name
Last night on C4 she found fame
As owner of a gorgeous mansion
In need of visitor expansion
To help meet the rising cost
Of restoring what was lost
Within this Jacobean pile
That now embodies grace and style
For twenty years Cornelia's grafted
And from a ruin she has crafted
A house of splendor so divine
In Wales there is not one so fine
Plas Teg is wonder number eight
Cornelia saved it from a fate
That would have seen it fall apart
Had she not taken it to her heart
Worked through every day and night
Go and visit - you'll see we're right
It doesn't matter where you are
North Wales really isn't far
And though Plas Teg is quite a find -
It's Cornelia who's one of a kind!
