BRAVE volunteers are needed to raise charity cash by spending the night
in a haunted house.
The Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Trust is holding a spine
chilling fundraising event on November 12 at Plas Teg Manor House, Pontblyddyn.
During the eerie experience, tales of the 17th
Century manor house's lurid past will be told.
Learn about the ghoulish goings-on of former squire
of the hall Sir John Trevor.
After discovering his wife was having an affair
he drove his coach through the estate until it overturned and left him
badly injured. He died an agonising death in the Regency Room.
Feel the terrifying atmosphere in the dining room
where criminals were sentenced before hanging.
The daring deeds will be for a good cause as all money raised will go
towards research and supporting sufferers with CF.
Volunteers need to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship to take
part.
'CF is the UK's most common life-threatening inherited disease,' said
Bev Burnham-Jones, regional fundraising manager for the Cystic Fibrosis
Trust - North West.
'It affects the vital organs in the body, especially the lungs and digestive
system, by clogging them with thick, sticky mucus.
'Every week five babies are born with CF and sadly we lose three young
people.
'The CF Trust is the only charity in the UK which is solely concerned
with the well-being of people with CF.
'By getting sponsored and joining us on the November 12 at the Plas Teg
Fright Night, I am sure you will have a wonderful time and will be helping
the CF Trust continue its work into finding a cure for this life threatening
disease and supporting those babies, children and young adults who live
with this terrible condition.' nIf you dare to take part in Plas Teg Fright
Night contact Bev Burnham-Jones by e-mailing bburnham-jones@cftrust.org.uk
